Paul David Ihus, age 75, of Linden, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10th, 2019 at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born May 5th, 1944 in Blanchardville, the son of the late Carl and Dorothy (Arntsen) Ihus. He attended school in Blanchardville.
Paul was a dairy farmer in Iowa County for over 25 years. After farming he was in the trucking industry traveling across the United States for several years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked to spend time sitting around a campfire with his family, friends and his dogs.
He is survived by his four daughters: Jody Gall (Rick Peterson) of Arena, Julie (Greg) Schoenmann of Stoughton, Jackie Meudt (John Dalton) of Dodgeville, and Jamie (Tim) Noble of Arena; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Duffy and Grace Peterson both of Mt. Horeb and Marilyn Moen of Argyle, a sister-in-law, Bernadine Ihus of Janesville; and brothers-in-law Paul O’Brien of Sturtevant and Jerry Wiesenberg of Monroe. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gordon and Donald (Pauline) Ihus; sisters Donna O’Brien and Janet Wiesenberg; brother-in-laws Eddie Duffy, Maynard Peterson, and Burnell Moen.

A visitation for Paul will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the New Hope Lutheran Church, 305 Madison Street in Blanchardville. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the church. Rev Carol Baumgartner of the New Hope Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Blanchardville.
