Beverly Ann Gilbertson, 67 of rural Blanchardville passed away suddenly in a tragic fall in her home on December 3, 2025. She was born on September 4, 1958 at St. Claire Hospital in Monroe Wisconsin, to Henry Tyler and Grace Marie (Broten) Gilbertson. Beverly grew up in Monticello and graduated from the Monticello High School in 1976. She attended UW-Platteville and later graduated from UW-Oshkosh. She traveled to Russia which was a highlight of her college days. Beverly worked for the United States Postal Service Office in Madison for 20 years, retiring on September 1, 2023. Beverly and Korky (Robert) Krengel were married at the Green County Courthouse in Monroe Wisconsin in 1998. She lived on the family farm which had been owned for multiple generations of her family, most recently by her Grandparents Ole & Beulah Broten before Beverly bought it.
Beverly is survived by her brothers, Marvin (Theresa) Gilbertson of Keller, TX and Craig (Lisa Appleby) Gilbertson of Rockford, IL.; Korky's 2 children, Eric (Alesha) Krengel of Madison, and Tami Barker of Oregon; Grandchildren Paxton Krengel, and Makayla and Graysonn Hammond; nieces, Ashley and Heather Gilbertson of Keller, TX; Aunts Betty (Dietrick Zentner) Broten of New Glarus and Diana Kitto of Lancaster; Her best friend, Carolyn Babler; and many cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by, her husband Korky (Robert) Krengel who died on July 17, 2014; her parents; her sisters Linda Gilbertson and Rita Gilbertson and numerous aunts and uncles.
A visitation for Beverly will be held on Friday, December 12th, 2025 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Blanchard Hall at 204 S Main St in Blanchardville, A funeral service for Beverly will follow the visitation. Reverend Chris Strohm of New Hope Lutheran will officiate. A catered funeral lunch will follow the service. Saether Funeral Service of Blanchardville is assisting the family.
