Bobbie Jo Presbroten

Bobbie Jo Anna Presbroten, age 14 of rural Hollandale and Highland, died on Saturday morning, November 14, 2009 as a result of a deer-auto accident. She was born on July 5, 1995 in Darlington to Duane and Rhonda (Strub) Presbroten. She lived on the family farm in rural Hollandale, and after she was 6 years old also with her mother in Highland. She attended the Pecatonica Grade and High School where she was currently a Freshman. She was a member of the York Memorial Lutheran Church in rural Blanchardville. Bobbie Jo was in 4-H and had just joined the Future Farmers of America. She was a member of choir and band, playing clarinet. Bobbie Jo was a great animal lover, and enjoyed working with her horses and the animals on the farm with a rare ability to work with the animals. She liked working with the animals through animal husbandry. She was also an avid poetry and story writer. She loved tractor pulls and working with the tractors. Bobbie Jo is survived by her parents, Duane Presbroten of Hollandale, and Rhonda (Ken Iverson) Strub of Highland; her paternal grandmother, Trudy Presbroten of Hollandale; her maternal grandparents, Ronald (Marty) Strub of Monticello and Marilyn Rowley of Darlington; a sister, Amanda (Robert) Dosch of Darlington; a brother, Jeremy Smith of Darlington; aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gilbert Presbroten. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the York Memorial Lutheran Church in rural Blanchardville at the intersection of highways 78 and 39. Rev. Mark Gruner of the Pecatonica Lutheran Parish will officiate. Burial will be in the York Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening, November 16, 2009 at the York Memorial Lutheran Church from 4:00 until 8:00 PM.
