Brooke Ann Dammen

Brooke Ann Dammen, age 19 of Stoughton died on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the UW Hospital in Madison. Brooke dealt graciously and bravely with Juvenile Onset Huntington's Disease for most of her life. She was born on February 19, 1994 in Madison to David & Brenda (Mick) Dammen. She grew up in Stoughton and graduated from the Stoughton High School in 2012. Brooke loved butterflies, everything pretty, glittery, sparkly and glamorous, had a great sense of humor, and a great love for horses. She loved her brother, and was so excited when he was coming home. She loved going to the Easter Seals camp. Brooke had two special friends, Nichole Drebenstedt and Maddie Motley, the three of them made up the "three musketeers."

Brooke is survived by her mother, Brenda Dammen of Stoughton; her borther, Chris Dammen of Benton; her maternal grandmother, Joanne Mick of Monroe; and Her paternal grandparents, Jerry & Sandra Dammen of Blanchardville; and many aunts and uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, David Dammen who died on December 13, 2011; and her grandfather, Francis Mick.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 12:00 until 3:00 PM at the Yellowstone Lutheran Church in rural Blanchardville at 4472 Saints Road, intersection of Saints Road and Yellowstone Church Road. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the church. Rev. Daniel Bohlman of that church will officiate. Burial will be in the Yellowstone Lutheran Church cemetery. Yellowstone Lutheran Church, 4472 Saints Road, rural Blanchardville. In Blanchardville, from the top of the Main Street downtown area take Lafayette County Highway F heading west out of town up a steep hill. Just past the crest of the hill take a left onto Old Q road. There are directional signs from here going on. Take a right onto Paulson Road, then take a left onto Yellowstone Church Road. Eventually you will see the church on your left hand side at the intersection of Yellowstone Church Road and Saints Road.
