Carole Lynn (Karlberg) Miranda, age 74 of rural Blanchardville, formerly of the Chicago area died on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at her home. She was born in Chicago Illinois on January 26, 1952, to Harold Axel and Marilyn Karlberg. She grew up in the city of Chicago with her parents and her 3 siblings. She graduated from the Von Steuben High School . Carole worked for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) for over 25 years. On June 27, 1980, she married her sweetheart, Marselino Miranda whom she met at work for the CTA. Around 2001 they moved to rural Blanchardville. Carole loved animals, especially her horses. She also loved her land and countryside in rural Blanchardville.

Carole is survived by her son, Michael (Spring) Miranda of Burr Ridge, Illinois; six grandchildren, Destiny, Donovan, Nathaniel, Logan, Jeyda, and Cheylah; one great-grandchild, Lucas Miranda; two siblings, William (Mary) Karlberg of Lake Zurich, IL, and Cheryl Troy of Palos Heights, IL; and a very good friend, Sandra Navas of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marselino who died on February 26, 2024; and a sister Linda Baig who died while living in Appleton.

A visitation for Carole will be held on Saturday May 2, 2026, from 10:00AM until 2:00PM at Blanchard Hall at 206 South Main Street in Blanchardville. Due to Main Street construction, entrance off the back parking lot is suggested.
