Cathy Marie Hoelzel

Catherine Marie "Cathy" Hoelzel (née Brady), age 53 of Blanchardville died unexpectedly in a car accident in Verona, Wisconsin on February 12, 2018. She was born on December 15, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to Stanley and Priscilla (Shumake) Brady. She graduated from Blue Ridge Community College in 1994 with a degree in Accounting. She married Timothy Scott Hoelzel in 1990. After moving to Blanchardville, Wisconsin in August 2000, Cathy began working for SSM Dean as a Payroll Coordinator. Her children remember her as a wonderfully kind mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals and dreams. She was a loving grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren. She loved cooking, baking and traveling with Tim, family and friends, especially on several cruises they enjoyed in recent years. Cathy had a smile that would light up the room and made anyone feel welcome. She had a heart that loved and cared for everyone she met. Cathy was such a hard worker and put 110% effort at everything she pursued.

Cathy is survived by her mother, Priscilla Brady of Franklin, Virginia; husband, Timothy Scott Hoelzel of Blanchardville; 3 children, Mike Hoelzel of Madison, Chris Hoelzel of Mount Horeb, and Ami Mundth of DeForest; 4 grandchildren, Bostyn, Carter, Clay & Cole; brother, Edward (Tara) Brady of Franklin, Virginia; and four nieces. She is preceded in death by her father, Stanley Brady of Louisa, Virginia.

A visitation for Cathy will be held Friday evening, February 16, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Blanchard Hall at 206 South Main Street in Blanchardville. Another visitation will be held Saturday morning, February 17, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Blanchard Hall, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Rev. Michelle Elfers of New Hope Lutheran in Blanchardville and Hollandale will officiate. A funeral lunch and fellowship will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested.
