Charles Wayne Schaus

Charles Schaus, age 65 of Blanchardville died late Tuesday evening, February 25, 2014 at the Monroe Manor after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 15, 1948 to Orville and Mary Laverne (Stevens) Schaus. Chuck was a Marine and proudly served his country in Vietnam. In his later years he settled in Blanchardville. He loved camping at Blackhawk Lake and was an avid reader.

Chuck is survived by his sisters, Maureen Juggan of Blanchardville, Kathlien Menser of DeFuniak Springs, FL and Patricia (Robert) Szabo of Chicago, IL. He also leaves 16 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Schaus Suttell and Orville Schaus; his step-father, Norman Suttell; three brothers, James of Bremen, Georgia, Thomas of Las Vegas, NV and John of Morris, IL; and his beloved Deanna Torn of Blanchardville.
