Dr. Doral J. Robb, age 86 of Madison went to meet his savior Jesus on Monday morning, April 27, 2009. He was born on January 13, 1923 in Blanchardville, Wisconsin, the son of Allie & Alma (Brager) Robb. He grew up in Blanchardville and graduated from the Blanchardville High School in 1942. He was drafted into the U. S. Army at age 20 and served in the South Pacific as a non-commissioned officer. After attending Madison Business College, he enrolled in the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating as a Dr. of Chiropractic. Doral married Carol Jean Soper, his wife of 60 years, on November 21, 1948. He opened his first practice in Shawano, Wisconsin, moving in 1959 to open Robb Chiropractic Clinic in Madison. Dr. Robb retired on October 1, 1988. Doral served as president of Shawano Kiwanis Club, was a charter member of the Madison West Kiwanis, served 21 consecutive years as the State Delegate to the International Kiwanis, completed clinical research at the University of Colorado, was a past President of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association, was a member of Wisconsin Chiropractic Legislative and Education Committee, was on the Medicare Review Board, and was a past President of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Doral is survived by his wife, Carol Robb of Madison, four sons, James Robb of Stoughton, Jon (Connie) Robb of Cottage Grove, Dr. Kim Robb of McFarland, and Dr. Dan (Mary) Robb of McFarland; five grandchildren, Christopher, Caitlin, Elizabeth and Natalie Robb and Lindsay (Jeremy) Krull; special family, Karen Meiers and Dawn Lowden; sisters Blanche (Ron) Foster of New Glarus and Audrey Finley of Waunakee; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Arthur (Virginia) Kittleson and Raymond (Arlene) Robb; sisters Norma (Roland) Trumble and Shirley (Al) Roehling; and an infant grandson Nelson Jon Robb. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 2670 Milwaukee St. in Madison. A funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM with morning visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Rev. Mark Bartels will officiate. Lunch at the church will immediately follow the service. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Blanchardville with Veteran's honors provided by the Dobson-Johnson American Legion Post of Blanchardville. The family requests memorials of remembrance be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, HospiceCare, or Palmer College Research Foundation.
