Jasper Lane Vatter

To watch the memorial photo video for Jasper, please click the following link: Jasper "Bubba" Lane Vatter, age 22 of rural Blanchardville died in an auto accident on Thursday morning, August 30, 2018. He was born September 12, 1995 in Dodgeville. His parents were Caleb and Elizabeth (Vatter) Harris. He grew up and lived with his family in rural Blanchardville. As a youth he loved dirt biking and youth football. He went to the Pecatonica grade and high school in Hollandale and Blanchardville, graduating in 2014. He was part owner of Harris Concrete, and loved working with his dad, grandpa and family. He also loved working with cattle and farming, raising beef cattle with his family. In his spare time he often enjoyed fishing, especially with his brother. He loved his family, loved picking on his sisters, and was a big momma's boy. He was engaged on June 14th of this year to his love Chantel Lynch of New Glarus.

Jasper is survived by his parents, Caleb and Liz Harris of rural Blanchardville; his fiancé Chantel Lynch of New Glarus; five siblings all of Blanchardville, Deanara Vatter, Garret Harris, Mia Harris, Pippa Harris, and Ida Harris; his paternal grandparents Ray and Coleen Harris of Blanchardville and Nick and Jenny Meyer of Hazel Green; and aunts and uncles Carley Harris, Bob (Heidi) Harris, Patti Johnston, Annette (Phil) Crow, Talbert Connell, Troy (Kim) Connell, and Tyler (Jess) Connell; great uncle Martin Connell; great aunt Gladys Johnston; and cousins Brodie, Cash and many more.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Margariette Vatter; Uncle Travis Connell; and special great-grandparents Ray and Averil Harris who he had a special bond with.

A visitation for Jasper Vatter will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 2:30 until 8:00 PM at Blanchard Hall at 204 South Main Street in Blanchardville. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM. The Saether Funeral Home in Blanchardville is assisting the family.
