Jerome T Hendrickson

Jerome T. Hendrickson, age 54 of rural Blanchardville died of natural causes on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his home. He was born on January 24, 1962 in Monroe to Homer Clayton and Avis Rosella (Gilbertson) Hendrickson. Jerome grew up on the family farm in rural Blanchardville where he worked on the farm alongside his parents, brothers and sister. He attended the Pecatonica grade and high school where he played basketball, baseball and football. After graduation he went to the UW Platteville where he graduated. While there he played football and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho agricultural fraternity. Sports was a big part of Jerome's life. He played home talent baseball, golfed, and was an avid Badgers, Brewers and Packers fan. He loved his children. He also loved the outdoors, especially the family farm and woods. He was a lifelong member of the Adams Lutheran Church.

Jerome is survived by his two children, Olivia and Haden Hendrickson and their mother, his former wife Lisa Hendrickson, all of Blanchardville; his mother, Avis Hendrickson of New Glarus; his sister Deanna (Lyle) Opsal of Blue Mounds; brothers Larry (Marie) Hendrickson of rural Blanchardville, and Jeff (Kate) Hendrickson of Belleville; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Hendrickson who died on December 13, 2009; and two nephews, Thad Opsal and Trevor Hendrickson.

A visitation for Jerome Hendrickson will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Adams Lutheran Church in rural Argyle. A funeral service will follow at the church at 1:00 PM. Rev. Rick Fry of that church will officiate. Burial will be in the Adams Cemetery.
