Jim Frederick Rufenacht

Jim Frederick Rufenacht, age 72 of Blanchardville died on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe. He was born in Monroe on August 11, 1942 to Warner and Esther (Broders) Rufenacht. He grew up in the Twin Grove area south of Monroe, and Mount Horeb, attending school in those towns. Through the years he worked for his uncle, Ed Rufenacht at Monroe Cheese, for Trumpy Cheese, for the Village of Blanchardville, and mowed, shoveled snow and helped with yard work for many Blanchardville folks. He loved gardening and taking immaculate care of his home and yard. He enjoyed fishing from the riverbank at his home.
Jim is survived by three siblings, Jerry (Rita) Rufenacht of Loganville, Kathleen Belongia of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Janice (Charles) Paul of Madison; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday evening, May 21, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the Saether Funeral Home in Blanchardville. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until the service. Burial will be Friday morning at the Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe. The Saether Funeral Home in Blanchardville is assisting the family.
