Kurt Allen Martell

Kurt Allen Martell of Dodgeville died on September 27, 2023 at home.  Kurt was born on August 26, 1970 at the Cuba City Hospital.  He was raised by his grandparents, Ruby & Lloyd "Tyke" Farrey in Lead Mine, Wisconsin.  He attended elementary school in Benton, and high school in Cuba City.  Kurt spent some time at the Hodan Center in Mineral Point.  He later earned his GED at Southwest Tech in Fennimore and attended the welding program.  He moved to Dodgeville around 2007.  He enjoyed sports, small game hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his sister Wendy (Cliff) Nelson of Blanchardville and a niece Jessica Montano of Argyle.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruby & Lloyd "Tyke" Farrey, and a niece Kari Hofer.

Private graveside services were held at the Benton Primitive Methodist Cemetery next to the Red Church in Benton.  Saether Funeral Service of Blanchardville assisted the family.  Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.saetherfuneralservice.com.
