Melvin "Aj" Allan Jerrett

Melvin "AJ" Allan Jerrett, Jr, age 8 of Blanchardville died on Friday, May 17, 2013 as the result of a farm accident. He was born on May 12, 2005 in Darlington to Melvin and Amanda (Hendrickson) Jerrett. He lived in the Blanchardville area with his parents his entire life, and was currently in the 2nd grade in the Pecatonica Area Elementary School in Hollandale. AJ loved hunting and fishing, baseball, riding his bicycle, going to work farming with his dad, wrestling, swimming, and being a happy little boy.

AJ is survived by his parents, Melvin and Amanda Jerrett of Blanchardville; a brother, Skyler Jerrett and a sister Katie Jerrett at home; his paternal grandparents, Melvin (Marlene) Jerrett of Muscoda and Carrie (David) King of Boscobel; his maternal grandparents, Jim and Rosemary Hendrickson of Darlington; his paternal great-grandmother, Barbara Helmenstein of Boscobel; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his cousins, Aryahna Bloedoe, and Sophia Penelope Jerrett.

A visitation for AJ Jerrett will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM at the Pecatonica Elementary School in Hollandale. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Blanchardville Lutheran Church in Blanchardville. Rev. Mark Gruner of that church will officiate.
