Norma Elaine McKeon, age 70 of Blanchardville died on Thursday evening, April 23, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 10, 1944 in Dodgeville to Amos and Verna (Steensland) Moen. She grew up and went to school in Blanchardville, graduating from the Blanchardville High School in 1962. She was married on November 14, 1964 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Blanchardville to James William McKeon. They farmed for 25 years in the Blanchardville area, and then worked at Harlan-Sprague-Dawley in Madison for over 20 years, retiring in 2011. She loved following her children and grandchildren's sporting events, watching the Packers and Badgers on TV, playing cards, reading books, the ladies Alter Sodality of Immaculate Conception, gambling trips, and her 50th anniversary trip to Alaska with Jim.
Norma is survived by her husband Jim McKeon of Blanchardville; her three children, Mike (Glenda) McKeon of New Glarus, Lisa (Bill) Theobald of Blanchardville, and Tim (Lana) McKeon of Blanchardville; her parents, Amos & Verna Moen of Mount Horeb; her 7 siblings, Glen (Diane) Moen of Madison, Marie Meyer of Mount Horeb, August (Barb) Moen of Monticello, Dennis (Jan) Moen of Tucson, AZ, Marcia (Bob) Pilling of Mineral Point, Kevin (Teresa) Moen of Mineral Point, and Carolyn (Greg) Clerkin of Barneveld; 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son Brian "Butch" McKeon who died in 1997; a grandson, Mason J Wedige who died in 2010; brothers Rolfe and Donald Moen; mother and father-in-law James and Alvina McKeon; three brothers-in-law, Joe McKeon, Russell Horne and Ed Fitzsimons.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, April 29, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Blanchardville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Fr. Thomas Gillespie will officiate. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Blanchardville. A funeral lunch will follow at the American Legion post in Blanchardville. The Saether Funeral Home in Blanchardville is assisting the family.
