David Benson Obituary

David Allen Benson, age 69 of Menomonie, WI died on April 13, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, MN. He was born on April 30, 1946 in Monroe, WI to Sever and Agnes (Moen) Benson. He grew up in Blanchardville and graduated from the Blanchardville High School in 1964. His first marriage to Judith Skattum produced two daughters, JoLaine and Dana. Their family lived in Blanchardville, and Durand, Wisconsin. He worked at power plants and at the Durand canning factory until his injury. He was later married to Jennifer Fedie and they had two children, Lance and Heather.

He is survived by four children,

Dana (Michael) Weber of Monroe, JoLaine (Tony) Hamwey of Billerica, MA, Heather Marie Benson of Menomonie, and Lance (Heather Nicole) Benson of Madison; and

One sister Carol (Arne) Nelson of Stoughton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sever and Agnes Benson.

Burial will be at a later date in the Perry Cemetery in Daleyville, Wisconsin. The Saether Funeral Home in Blanchardville is assisting the family.
