Robert "Bob" Wiemiller Obituary

Robert “Bob” John Wiemiller, age 54 of rural Janesville, formerly of Evansville, died on Tuesday evening, January 22, 2019 at the Beloit Memorial Hospital.  He was born on August 2, 1964 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Marge Gavigan.  He grew up in New Jersey until in 1974 at age 9 he moved to Blanchardville with his parents, Marge and David Wiemiller and his brother Michael.  He attended grade and high school in Blanchardville, graduating there from the Pecatonica High School in 1983.  He joined the United States Marine Core, and was in bootcamp in San Diego, California, graduating on October 7, 1983 in Platoon 2077.  He also was in Quantico, Virginia and Okinawa, Japan where he served most of his enlistment.  Following his service he moved to Virginia where he worked for a computer software company and coached little-league baseball.  He moved to Naples, Florida around 1991.  He worked for a large self-storage company and worked his way to be general manager and computerized their recordkeeping.  He also worked nights during this time as a night hotel auditor in several major chain hotels.  He was married to Janice in 1994, and they were together for 15 years.  He moved back to Wisconsin in 2009 and lived in Evansville until a couple years ago when he moved to rural Janesville.  After he moved back to Wisconsin he worked at the local hotel as night auditor in Evansville, and did day care for his nephews Kaiden & Tristan.  Bob was a proud Marine and was a member of the Dobson-Johnson-Gallagher American Legion Post in Blanchardville.  He was very patriotic and loved God and Country.  He was a great prankster and jokester.  He loved the Peanuts & Snoopy cartoons and shared that frequently.  He loved board games and was very good at them, and loved football and the Packers.  Bob loved his friends and family and enjoyed having company.  He taught those who knew him to never quit, never surrender and keep moving forward.

Bob is survived by his father, David Wiemiller of Evansville; four brothers, Michael (Natasha) Wiemiller of Evansville, David Jr. (Crystal Sperry) Wiemiller of Evansville, Joe (MaryJo) Wiemiller of Brookfield, and Tony (Angie) Wiemiller of Evansville; and his special long-time friend and companion Bea Robey of Fort Atkinson; and four nephews and four nieces.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Marge Wiemiller who died in 2010.
