Paul Elliot Vinje

Paul Elliot Vinje, age 60 of Argyle died on Saturday morning, December 18, 2010. He was born on April 9, 1950 in Dodgeville to Edwin and Lyla (Anderson) Vinje. He grew up in Hollandale, and graduated from the Hollandale High School in 1968. He attended community college for a year in Maryland, and then attended the UW-Superior. He spent most of his life painting homes, churches, farms and anything anyone wanted painted. He painted with his father, Edwin and his brother Edward. He was also a machinist at Argyle Industries in Argyle. Paul loved fishing in the local area. He was also a great athlete in his early years.

Paul is survived by his mother, Lyla Vinje of New Glarus, two brothers and one sister, Elizabeth Botti of Harleysville, PA, Edward Vinje, of Hollandale, and Donald Vinje of Hollandale. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Elizabeth, and his father, Edwin Vinje who died on August 30, 2007.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Saether Funeral Home in Blanchardville, followed immediately by a funeral service at 8:00 PM at the Saether Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Gruner of the Pecatonica Lutheran Parish will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date at the Hollandale cemetery in Hollandale.
