Sandra Gail Goldsmith, age 66 of Blanchardville died on Friday evening, February 28, 2025 at Upland Hills hospital in Dodgeville. She was born on May 23, 1958 in Vaiden, Mississippi to F. Green and Dorothy Naomi (Maness) Pinkston. She grew up in Vaiden, Mississippi where she graduated from high school in 1978. She later Moved to Florida where she attended training with Turner Job corps for further education. Her son Randy was born while she was in Florida. Sandra and Randy later moved back to Vaiden to live with her parents for a while, and then moved to Madison, Wisconsin. She worked for Metro Ride giving rides to people who had mobility and cognitive disabilities. Sandra met Robert "Bob" Goldsmith while they were both working at Metro Ride, actually through Randy who told his mother he liked Robert after receiving rides from him! Sandra and Bob were married on October 4, 1997 in rural Mount Horeb, Wisconsin at Stewart Park. They lived together in Madison, then moved to Mount Horeb for a few years, and later lived in Edmund while Sandy was attending Southwest Tech in Fennimore to be certified to be a dental assistant. She worked at the prison in Boscobel for a year as a dental assistant. She often provided in-home care for seniors throughout her life through Lutheran Social Services and other organizations. Her final job was working at Hy-Vee and then Costco demonstrating and sharing foods. They moved back to Mount Horeb where they lived until they bought their home in Blanchardville in 2005. Sandra was active in her church, His Ambassadors Fellowship in Madison. She loved to travel and cook. She was a very nurturing person, interested in the environment and had a fondness for the Wisconsin River. She had a great love for her dog, Dahlia.
Sandra is survived by her husband Robert Goldsmith of Blanchardville; Her son Randy (Tabitha) Pinkston of Madison; two nephews Jason and James Fowler; and two nieces Stephanie and Erica Fowler; a brother-in-law, Richard (Barbara) Goldsmith, and a sister-in-law, Linda (Terry) Spraker. Preceded by sister Renee Fowler and her husband Richard Fowler
