Stanley E. Bollerud

Stanley E. Bollerud, age 73, of Atrium Care Center in Mineral Point, formerly of Hollandale, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, February 16th, 2017, at the Upland Hills Hospital in Dodgeville, with family by his side. He was born on July 15, 1943, in Dodgeville to Joseph Allan and Marie Josephine (Prine) Bollerud, and raised on the family farm. He attended the Moscow Center Rural School, and graduated from the Hollandale High School in 1961. He attended MATC for two years and received an associate accounting degree. While living in Hollandale, Stanley worked doing taxes and accounting. He was a member of the Hollandale Lutheran Church. Stanley was an avid Packers and Badgers fan. He loved the out of doors and was very interested in the hunting and fishing activities of his family. He loved playing cards, grilling out, was a very good cook, and was an excellent pool player. In 2002 he moved to the Mineral Point Care Center, where he became part of the family and made life interesting for all of the residents and staff. Stanley never let his unfortunate auto accident at age 17 deter him from having a positive outlook on life. Stanley is survived by one sister, Myrna Severson, Janesville; sister-in-law, Stella Bollerud, Madison; 11 special nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jill Cenite. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Richard Bollerud.

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the Atrium Care Center in Mineral Point. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, and then a funeral lunch and more fellowship will follow. The Saether Funeral Home in Blanchardville is assisting the family.
