Wendy Jean Gordon

Wendy Jean Gordon, age 60 of Dodgeville, formerly of Blanchardville, died on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Upland Hills Hospital in Dodgeville. She was born on February 19, 1954 in Richland Center to Donald and Arlene (Brown) Marks. She attended school at the LaFollette school in Madison. She was married on October 22, 1976 in the Perry Lutheran Church to Larry Alan Gordon. She worked at the VA Hospital in Madison and other places as a CNA. Wendy loved the outdoors, loved the color blue, and had an unbelievable love for her animals. She also had a magical gift of writing poetry. Wendy loved to read and adored fishing with her husband and kids. She was a member of the Blanchardville Lutheran Church in years past.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Larry Gorden of Dodgeville; three children, Jason (Missy) Gordon of Barneveld, and Tayler and Amber Gordon, both of Mount Horeb; two sisters, Tonia (Steve) Baney and Susan Larkin, both of Sauk City; one brother, Bill (Sara) Marks of Madison; and four grandchildren, Grace, Emma, Eliza Gordon and Caleb Burger. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation for Wendy will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 10:00 AM until noon at the Blanchardville Lutheran Church in Blanchardville. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the church. The Saether Funeral Home in Blanchardville is assisting the family. www.saetherfuneralhome.com
