William Ward "Bill" Hendrickson

February 27, 1943 — April 21, 2025

Hollandale

William Ward "Bill" Hendrickson, born to Milton and Kathryn Hendrickson on Saturday, February 27, 1943 in Dodgeville, WI, took his last breath Monday April 21, 2025 at 3:59 pm In Madison, WI with his two children by his side. His immediate family, consists of his eldest sister Nancy Mooney, younger brother Tommy Hendrickson (who preceded him in death) and youngest sister Mary Smotony, his wife Sharon Kay Hendrickson, daughter Shondra Anne Sikes and son Ward Thomas Hendrickson. He has five grandchildren, three girls and two boys ranging from 31 yrs to 15 months. The youngest being a grandson to carry on the family name.

The Hendricksons  moved from Hollandale, WI to Chandler, AZ when Bill was a teenager and then to Rancho Cordova, CA. Bill met his wife, Sharon Kay Lisonbee in Sacramento, CA and started a family. He worked for Pacific Telephone for 20+ years before deciding to start his own trucking business which operated for 37 years. During that period he visited his childhood stomping grounds a few times and dreamed of returning to his roots. As luck would have it, he was able to return to the family farm and fulfill his dream of farming it himself until he was no longer physically capable.

Bill was a dreamer and more importantly a doer. He lived his life the way he wanted, whether anyone else liked it or not…for those that truly knew him, he will be missed.
