Mark Alan Wilson, age 66 of Blanchardville died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, March 31, 2021 with his wife Rhonda by his side. Mark was born on September 8, 1954 in Yuma, Arizona to James Michael & Marianne (Odmark) Wilson. He grew up in Michigan and Tulsa, Oklahoma where he graduated from Union High School. He met his wife Rhonda in the mid-80’s and they were married in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 1, 1987. They later moved to Michigan where Mark worked for his father’s company, Shoreline Petroleum. Mark held many jobs throughout his life including selling insurance, selling cars, and working with his father, later managing restaurants in the Madison area in 2001. While working at a State Street location he connected with many homeless. His love and concern for the homeless brought him to a new mission in life. He worked with Bethel Lutheran helping the homeless and then a few years ago he started working for The Beacon in Madison, a day support service operated by Catholic Charities. He ended his time there when the COVID-19 pandemic started but had hoped to return to this work. Mark loved golfing. That was a passion for him. He also loved his family and his grandkids.
Mark is survived by his wife, Rhonda of Blanchardville; three children, Carey Haney of Springfield, Ohio, Joshua (Liz) Wilson of Monroe, and Lindsey Verbillion of Springfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Landen Wilson, Ryan Haney, Gavin Hawk, Kira Hawk, Cole Willcox, Aria Verbillion, and Chloe Willcox; two brothers, Jeffrey (Marva) Wilson of Montague, Michigan, and Gregory (Kathy) Wilson of Baraboo; one sister, Wendy (Rick) Hendryx of Muskegon, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Jacob Fletscher.
